Evening, all! Part two is here and is full of even more ups and downs. I hope you all enjoyed part one, and if you did, you will definitely like part two. The days went so quick which is what usually happens when you go away, especially after not having been away for so long. I literally blinked and it was nearly time to go home. I am looking forward to travelling more in the coming year as now I have done it once, I am ready to go again!
Now, enough of the chit chat; I bring you the last two days of our Brighton adventure :)
Day 3
After a pleasant nights' rest from the day before, we were once again up and ready for our last buffet breakfast. We did not have to check out until 12, so we had a plan of eating brekkie and then heading out for a small stroll before leaving the hotel and heading to the girls' house. Off we went, I opted for just plain stuff that morning as my stomach was slightly off after all of the rich food we had consumed! Some food later, we went back to the room and that is when we received a message from our Aunt saying Pearl had woken up not feeling well at all. That put a dampener on our plans so we were a little panicked. We were obviously nervous that it could be Covid but she did say that they had done a test and it was negative; this reassured us slightly. We had to decide pretty quickly whether to still head there or make other accommodation plans.
We did not want to risk it in the end just because me and Sam are vulnerable and if there was a small chance of it being Covid, it was safer to remain where we were. Next, we first thought we would try and book two more nights in the Inn because it would save us a lot of hassle! Down we went and luckily we got the nicest staff member and after explaining what had happened, she assisted us in booking the next two nights. I am so grateful for her as she make it so easy and really helped ease our worries. We were told to book online ourselves as it is cheaper but unfortunately after running up to the room to get my card, the online booking failed. She then informed us that the last twin room had already been booked for that night so instead we had to be crafty and book a double for the Friday night and then separately book a twin room for the Saturday night. It was complicated for sure but she said we could keep the same room so we would not have the hassle of moving our stuff to another. Again, I cannot emphasise how helpful she was. After that little bit of drama, we decided to get some tests just to be on the safe side.
So, a trek ensued to locate some Covid tests. Luckily, we found some in Boots and we took them back and of course after testing, discovered we were negative. We felt kinda sad because we lost a day out with our cousins but we were still on holiday so we were going to make the most of it. We had a quick call with the Father to inform him of our situation and then decided to order some lunch before heading out into the sunshine. The weather was so nice and it would of been a shame to not go out and enjoy it. Sam ordered her food straight away but it took me so long to decide what I fancied and when I did find somewhere, the order would not go through. I then discovered after picking somewhere else, it was completely me being an idiot because I did not specify the address of where I wanted it delivered (what a fool). Anyway, I ended up choosing Nando's which is an old fav of mine and something I had missed. Most of the Deliveroo's were quick and came before their scheduled time which is always a bonus. Off I went to pick it up and on the way back to the room, I nicked some cutlery from the dining bit and went back to the room to nom. Sam got Pret and sadly they gave her a non vegan cookie as they had run out. That meant however, I had a tasty pudding ehe.

Ma classic Nando's order: Butterfly Chicken and Spicy Rice. I would normally get garlic bread but did not want to be that greedy...
Once lunch was all finished we decided to head on out to do some shopping. I still required some things for Mother and there were a couple of shops we wanted to visit. Our first stop was the mall and I nipped into Pull&Bear and found a nice jumpsuit and top in the sale. However, I tried both of them on and one was massive on me and the other so small; so that was a bit of a fail. We then proceeded to go around a few more shops until heading off to Primark. I was on the hunt for slippers but alas, there were none. After what actually seemed like forever but in reality was only an hour, we headed back. On the way back to the hotel we actually detoured to a vintage shop that we had saw the previous day, I cannot remember the name of it, sorry guys. It was so cute and I picked up a bag and some socks for me and Sam. Her ones were towards her birthday which is coming up:)
Let me tell you the bag is such a win! It has this pocket at the top that does not go all the way to the bottom, it is just part of the top. There is then two zipped pockets at the bottom. The top pocket is so good because as someone who struggles carrying heavy bags on my shoulders, the pocket is only at the top so when filled with something like a water bottle, you can hardly feel the weight at all, compared to other bags where all the weight is at the bottom. It is like the weight is distributed so it is the perfect bag for me as I found when I carried it around with all my usual stuff, it was not half as heavy as it would of been in any of my other bags. It wasn't planned but I am so glad I spotted it and picked it up. It was only ten pounds too! It's something so small but to me it is a big deal because it positively impacts my life so much and makes it so I can carry my bag more often and I do not need someone to carry it for me.
I just had to show you! It is neutral colours which means it goes with most outfits. Also the cute socks had to make an appearance.
After my amazing purchase, we headed back for some respite and to drop off our bags. We were stopped in our tracks however, when our key card did not work. We knew it must of just been because we were staying two extra nights in the same room. Off to reception we went and luckily after a few words with one staff member who was confused and said that room was not used currently, we got saved by the original staff member who helped us that morning. It was quickly resolved with new card and back we went to the room. About an hour later, we headed straight back out again, this time to some vintage shops. That was the original plan until things changed so we still wanted to have a little looksie in some! Right before we headed out though, one of the staff members just opened our door and went to come in. They then saw us and said a quick sorry before leaving. We were quite confused but assumed it must be because we were meant to check out but are now staying. We thought nothing of it as we just thought they would check and realise we were staying the next two nights. It would of been nice if they had knocked!
It was a bit of a shame because by the time we got to the vintage shops, they were closing in half an hour and most were pop ups so were beginning to shut down. We got one shop in before deciding to head home, but we still got a decent walk in and it gave us some ideas of where to come back to. I was just excited for what was coming next: food.
Sam had another vegan place in mind so I went along with her and we ordered What the Pitta. I was not sure on the Tzatziki sauce but wanted to give it a go incase I did like it. The delivery was once again quick and we really went for it and got some vegan cookie dough from Creams too. I was utterly stupid as I thought the normal one was sold out but it was just because I had to tick the vanilla ice-cream option as that was required with the dish. What a fool, the second time I have been one... The cookie dough did come a little earlier than expected so it did sit for a while whilst we devoured our meal. The onion rings and waffle fries we shared and they were so good. I only have ever had waffle fries once, on a Jack the Ripper tour in London at Leon's before getting the bus home. All I remember was my feet were absolutely killing as we had walked a million miles on the tour; what a memory.
Anyway... the pitta was yum except for you guessed it, the sauce. It was a lot mintier than expected and I really dislike mint. I still ate it because not all of the wrap contained the sauce. We both only ate half because they were so massive! Overall, I give it a 8.5. It would of been a 9 if it was not for the sauce, I would remove it next time.
There is the food in all its glory. Plus the size of Sam's pitta against her head for reference lol.
We left no remnants of the onion rings as they were that good. A few waffle fries were left but only because we were so full. Of course I had to leave room for the cookie dough. For a vegan cookie dough, I really enjoyed it. The only part I was not entirely keen on was the chocolate, simply because it was dark. I would give it an 7.5.

There she is. It may not look appetising but it sure was tasty.
While finishing our meal, we once again had another staff member just wander in, luckily we were not naked! This time we got a bit worried as the first one was in the morning so we understood they may not have known we booked to stay longer. However, at 6:00 in the evening that was a bit much. We did not want them coming in during the night or anything. Just to ensure all was good, we checked downstairs and informed a staff member. They checked the system and said we were registered in the room and she added a note and apologised for the intrusions. Happy with that, we went back up to the room to chill. Although, we felt a little full so decided to stroll to the big bins outside to get rid of the huge amount of rubbish we had building up. What good guests we are ehe. Good to walk after all that food! We also nipped to Sainsburys to get some breakfast for the next two mornings and some snacks as we obviously would of eaten at the girls if we were there.
We then turned in for the night and looked forward to the last day with our home friends who were coming to spend the day with us. My sleep was a little all over the place due to it being a Friday night so there was some music playing until quite late. I still had a decent kip though and we did not have to wake up as early this time as we were having our own breakfast. It was nice to have a lil lie in.
Day 4 - The Last Day:(
We could not believe how fast the three days had gone but it was not over yet. We arranged last minute to see the girls and our Aunt, it would not be right if we did not say goodbye. Sam went down to check in again for the day and she also picked up some more towels and loo roll which we had run out of because we were staying the extra days. Pearl was feeling much better so after a porridge pot and some apple (being healthy, go me), we met them outside the Inn and had a wander. We ended up getting a small drink and snack at Cafe Nero and I opted for a Pork and Pancetta roll. It was alright, the pastry was so good but the inside let it down, it tasted quite processed. All of us headed to one of the local parks and ate our food while chatting away. We had some banter about our favourite words and it was just nice to see them after not being able to spend the day before with them.
I was keeping in touch with our home friends and they were keeping me updated with where they were so we knew what time to meet them. Soon they informed us they were on the train so we decided to all head off and say our final goodbyes. We did air hugs to be safe and waved them off before stopping quickly at the hotel for a wee break. We told our friends we would walk up and hopefully see them somewhere on the way, although it was very crowded due to it being a Saturday. Luckily, I spotted my friends red hair and I rushed over to them as I knew I could lose them again in the crowd as quick as I spotted them. We had a quick hello before deciding it would be best to move away from the busy street. The had never visited Brighton before so it was our job to show them around. Our first stop was a Hello Kitty Cafe that Sam wanted to go to but also knew they would like it too. Me and Becky caught up on the way and so did Alice and Sam. The café was very cute and they all got some ice-cream and a drink each. I ended up with nothing as I already had my small roll thing. It was still super hot so we suggested going to the sea front for a little sit down.
Once we arrived there, we realised quite quickly how cold and windy it was. We did sit under the pier but that was because it was out of the sun. However, after wanting to get out of the sun because it was so boiling, we almost instantly wanted to get back in it because it was so breezy where we were... lol.
Off the four of us went and on the way off of the beach, we took the girls to the same shop I mentioned in the last post: Sarah and Topsy. None of us brought anything but it was nice to have another browse. We then had a wee stop on the pier and on the way back, the food stands caught my eye. My eyes saw donuts and Nutella and I was drawn in! Me and Becky got the donuts whilst Sam and Alice went down the healthy route of a cup of fruit. I think that describes our personalities perfectly. I have to admit, they were so good that I only managed two in the first sitting and shoved them in my bag for later. We had a small sit down before deciding to walk to crazy golf, something we had planned to do when we first arranged for the girls to come to Brighton.
I was super excited (I know lol, its the little things) so after a 10 minute stroll we arrived, paid for our round and went to head in. However, there was a family dawdling outside the entrance so we thought they were before us, that was until we waited 5 minutes and they did not move so we just went around them to the first hole... It took us about an hour to complete the whole course, mostly due to the fact it was so busy and people were literally skipping holes around us and the people in front; there were six of them and they were taking turns individually, instead of completing the hole fully one after the other. We were not bothered but I get why some people just to wanted to go around.
In the end, I won which I am really surprised about. Me and Alice were battling for first place, while Sam and Becky battled for third place. It was a close one! After that though, we were all so hot because it was in the full sun and it was actually where I burnt the top of my head!
Some cute lil pics of the day
We were also a bit peckish but the fish and chip shop we were heading to, was not open until 5. It was one that served vegan stuff also. I decided to chomp some more donuts and we all walked around the pier and sat down until it was time. I was literally exhausted by the time we got there as it was quite a way from the front. We ordered and waited, the guy was hilarious, he was joking around about streamers and doing an Australian accent in relation to Bondi Beach (a program about life guards), we were chuckling away to ourselves. It was not long before it was ready and we all walked what felt like miles again, before arriving at the same park we came to this morning, to eat.
It was v tasty and Sam rated hers highly too. I would rate it an 8.5, very enjoyable. We had more chats and laughter, along with two pigeons and a seagull trying to consume our food. Becky went to swipe one away, and accidentally boshed it with her hand lol. We were all pretty knackered so about an hour later, they walked us back to the Inn as they were going the same way to the train. We did have a sneaky stop at Hotel Chocolate for our Dad who wanted some nice chocolate and they also got some bits, we had to rush though as they were soon closing! Then we said our goodbyes and headed in for a well earned rest. I did cheekily order some more cookie dough and Sam ordered something too. There was a small bit of confusion with my driver but that was resolved and I devoured it. I rated it an 8, I preferred the normal choc but actually preferred the vegan cookie dough. Later on though, I felt rather sick so I did regret it. To help move some of the food, we went on another stroll to the bins and when we got back we began to pack our stuff up before turning in for the night. We were up at 5 for the flight so wanted an early one!
I did have to wear earplugs a bit for that night as the club music was roaring again. Up and at it we were bright and early the next morning, packing up our last bits, checking out and then lugging our cases up the hill to the bus station. It was so dead out because it was only half 6 which was so strange but nice at the same time to see as it is normally packed and then the bus came early so we were glad we left in time to get it. We boarded our bus to the station waited for around half an hour, saw a youtuber I watch from afar, then hopped on the train to the airport:)

Here is the evidence of the empty streets! I have never been up that early in Brighton so it was really weird
The train was direct so quicker than the way there and we soon arrived at the airport. We checked in and was raged at by the lady because I had left my kindle in my case and was taking too long to get it out lol. Sorry lady I could not remember exactly where it was... it did not help either that I was barley able to do my case up earlier so it did take a big of tugging to get it closed again ehhe. After that hassle, we breezed through security, well after being asked where my mum was? I looked at him and said I am 23 and he gave me a puzzled look before letting me through. The sad thing is I lost my pride badge though:(
I was so tired so once that was done, we headed straight for the seats. That was after we purchased some lunch. We were not aware of the restaurants upstairs so we got a manky M&S sandwich and then realised after and we kicked ourselves lol. I had another little accident and split my bag of crisps on the floor, am I ok? The answer is obviously no. Moving on from that, we finished our food, had a wander, went for a wee and then headed to gate.
The rest went smoothly, we did have someone next to us this time but she was friendly, offered Sam a sweet. The only part not smooth was the landing as visibility was next to nothing (good ol Ireland) and we had to switch off our devices and let me tell you it was bumpy! All's well that ends well eh?
There we have it! Reunited with Ireland and our Father and off we went on the journey home:)
And the days are over! We had such a good time and we cannot wait to go back. We are actually heading over to take Sam to Uni in September so its not long before we will be returning. I hope you guys enjoyed my ramble, sorry this part is so long... I am a chatter. Let me know anything else you want me to chat about, I may do another fashion post soon as I have a couple of new charity shop finds in ma wardrobe:)
I thought I would add in a poll!
