New Year?

Hello Everybody! Happy New Year:)

I thought I would come on here to discuss my hopes for the New Year, after 2020 was such a disaster.

There has been news that the vaccine is coming to our surgery, us vulnerable people should be vaccinated by April. That seems far away but I am just happy to hear that there is a glimpse of hope out of this mess!

While we are still remaining indoors, I am aiming to carry on with this blog and to continue to share what I can. I am also going to try and find some more online courses to do myself, being at home is the prime time to learn new skills and knowledge.

I am going through a phase of changing my style, and slowly but surely I am buying pieces to add to my wardrobe, I have grown to love fashion even more throughout my time at home.

Reading is becoming more enjoyable again for me, I am currently reading The Witcher; I intend to at least try and read ten books this year!

Cooking! I have recently developed an interest in it and have tried out many recipes with great success. I am going to branch out more this year and find more recipes I can cook for me and my family.

My passion for photography has only grown this year, I want to eventually purchase a new camera but for one I am happy to continue with the one I currently own. I always bring it on walks whenever I go, as you never know what you may capture. My favourite type of pictures to take at the moment are landscape ones, I just really love how simple but beautiful they look.

The one creative activity I started in the first lockdown but kind of stopped was drawing. I started because I was helping out my grandad with some stuff he was doing and once that ceased, I did keep it up for a while but then my motivation for it dwindled. I want to pick it back up again this year as it is the perfect way to zone out, relax and destress. This is why I want to delve into it again but we will see how things go! I don't want to push myself to do all these things at once, there is plenty of time.

Me and my family also had plans to move house last year but unfortunately due to the virus, we had to put them on hold. If things improve we are planning to move by the end of this year or at the latest, beginning of next. I try and keep positive but keep my expectations low as I don't want to be disappointed. Keeping them low means if things get better quicker, my expectations will be met and I will ultimately feel happier compared to if I told myself things would be better by April and that does not happen.

I wish you all well and hope you achieve all you want to this year! Lucy xoxoxo
