Bringing you some Fashion Finds

Good Afternoon, Everyone! Today I am bringing back a favourite of mine which is a fashion post. I have been seeing so many fun and colourful pieces for Spring so I felt the need to do another post. Today's one is more of a last minute winter one but soon I will have a new spring wardrobe (due to a recent order from H&M :)) and will definitely be styling some new fresh looks.

I am going to be including some shops on Etsy and Depop that I love and think have some amazing finds; when you search thoroughly you can really discover fashion staples. As always, I recommend sourcing your clothes and accessories from places like Depop, second hand sites and Instagram shops, to find similar items to the ones I show. It is a much more sustainable way to shop and is overall better for the environment. Unfortunately, I cannot link these sites as often they are a one piece, and once one person purchases the item, it is gone. Therefore I show popular brands because of this.

Building the Look:

This is the look that I will be adding to today, one that is more on the smarter side. I would most likely wear this out shopping or even out to meal as it can be dressed both down and up. You for sure do not need to wear the tights as the look can be styled either way, for me it was more of a colder day which is why I opted for them.

Both the top and skirt are old buys from New Look and I definitely consider them staples. The turtleneck really matches with the skirt, not only because of the similarity in the colour but also because it really flatters the shape of my body. You may think that is strange for me to say, but we really should love and be kinder to ourselves which I am learning as I explore the fashion world more.

I am getting slightly bored of dark colours and jumpers so bring on Spring so I can showcase my bright and fun clothes. It for sure is my favourite time of year for fashion as there is just such a variety of clothes you can wear. I am never really one to follow the trends, I just tend to wear what I love and what I think suits me. Although I am really vibing with the crochet and abstract prints that seem to be in. We know these things never last so I do not think I will buying many of these items, I think I will just stick to what I know. I am adventurous with my fashion but I cannot pull certain things off!

Depop//Etsy Shop Favs! Recommended by both my Sister and me.

Etsy

AstroJewels - A new discovery I have found which sells some gorgeous gold jewellery.

AFRASparkles - They have such cool earrings that would give a little sparkle to an outfit.

Joanie Clothing - They have such cute vintage pieces at a fair price.

Depop

Sweet Things - This shop sells cute Y2k items and also a variety of good quality clothes.

_19 Clothing - This is the only one we have not purchased from, but I have exchanged various messages with the seller about an item I was looking to buy and she was very helpful and friendly. She also sells a variety of different styles of clothing and bags.

I am yet to find a good sustainable and eco friendly place for shoes, if anybody does have any ideas please let me know, but other than that I have most covered in terms of clothing and jewellery. I will continue to hunt for some though as I know there are people out there selling their hard work! Of course there are so many other shops on both Depop and Etsy, you just have to have a good browse to find what you want; they have many filters to aid you in your search which I find very helpful as it narrows things down so you're not scrolling forever.

Shops I have also heard a lot about through Instagram is vintageparadiseuk and vintageclubuk. I myself have not purchased anything as I am trying to save money but there are many beautiful pieces that I have gone to buy but have then stopped myself... lol

Coats/Jackets

I think these jackets would compliment the look so much. The colour brown is a staple at the moment and would style perfectly with the dark purple. I do feel though that this particular look is more of a take your jacket off for the full effect. The jacket is just an essential to keep warm but of course it still has to look good. Another jacket colour that would be cool is grey as they do compliment each other well.

Shoes

Both of these shoes really fit the look. The trainers go more without the tights but either would be fine. However, I am just in love with these boots! They are so simple yet such a statement piece. A good pair of shoes is really what you need to complete a look that is more on the plain side.

Accessories

I love the idea of some smart sunglasses and the style and colour of these particular ones gives a small but key stamp on the look. The bag is something I actually recently purchased myself, I may have told myself not to buy anything else but unfortunately that did not last... This is something I seem to mention on every fashion post, but no matter how much I say it, I just cannot stop spending money! However, a small bag like this is an easy accessory and as it is more of a smarter look, it makes the outfit chic and classy.

Jewellery

When I am styling an outfit my favourite part is always choosing the jewellery. There are so many gems out there and sometimes it can be hard to just narrow down two items! I am sticking with the purple theme along with adding the gold touch, I just feel like gold goes more with the colours of this look compared to silver.

However, mix matching has never bothered me when it comes to earrings but when it does come to rings, my preference is to stick to one or the other which I have done for this look. I will always say wear what you want and express yourself in our own way, do not steer away from certain clothes just because of what people may say. Be yourself and rock your fashion!!

I decided not to pick a necklace with this particular outfit as due to the fact the top has quite a high turtleneck, I just think it would be too much. Having the statement chunky rings and a small pair of earrings is the right amount for me. Etsy is a steal when it comes to finding good pieces of jewellery! You do not have to search far and you can come across some great items. Although I always ensure that I check the reviews before purchasing as that is the best way to find out how good the quality is. Check out some of my favourite shop links above if you want to find some new shopping places!

I have to say this is one of my favourite looks that I have put together so far! I just love the colour combinations and everything just looks like it would make a bomb outfit. I hope you enjoyed this post and got some fashion inspo from it, that is my aim from my fashion posts: to share my passion and clothes I love for others to see and hopefully experience themselves.

Due to some personal reasons I am going to try and aim to post every 10-14 days just because I have a lot going on and am finding it difficult to find motivation. Do not worry though as I will be back with some interesting and new posts once I am able to go out and about more; travel posts (in England for now) being one of my aims by next year. Stay safe, Lucy xoxoxoxo
