Hey Everyone! Welcome back to another fashion post:) The weather has been so all over the place, one day I am wearing shorts and a small top, and then before I know it, its so cold I am wearing jeans! My wardrobe has such a mix of both seasons right now. When I planned this post, the weather was starting to turn and that is why the main focus of this look is jeans. However, it has started to warm up again but because of how late in the year it is, I do not think it will last long. So, bringing back and incorporating warmer clothing, I think is appropriate to do right now. I am also moving somewhere a lot colder then here so I will not be styling my summer clothes half as much as I do currently. A sad fact but I do prefer winter clothing so in terms of that, I do not mind as much:)
I just had to include these jeans in a fashion post because they are such a find and literally apart from one other pair, my go to jeans now. They suit my style and vibe so well and they are the perfect fit. I hope you all enjoy this post, and as I always say: get some fashion inspo!
As always, I recommend sourcing your clothes and accessories from places like Depop, second hand sites and Instagram shops, to find similar items to the ones I show. It is a much more sustainable way to shop and is overall better for the environment. Unfortunately, I cannot link these sites as often they are a one piece, and once one person purchases the item, it is gone. Therefore I show popular brands because of this.
My two styling tips that I live by:
Wear what you want and rock it.
Comfort is key.

These jeans are such a find! They are from Zara and I have linked the same pair, they also have similar ones in different colours that you can see on the website. In fact, I may even order another as I like them so much (note: I did! I went up to my local Zara and got the beige pair lol. I thought I might as well before I move).
I have spoken before about how I struggle with trousers being too tight and causing me pain, and because of that I tried to avoid jeans as they were one of the biggest culprits. However, when shopping for nothing in particular in Zara, I found these behind some tops and I was literally so happy. After not really wearing jeans, I may have found a pair that I can now wear on the regular. I was confident that they would fit but just incase, I tried a couple of sizes on and I was right, they were the perfect fit and the stretchiness made them so comfortable. It enabled me to wear them for long periods of time and they are now really the only jeans I wear. Them and the Hollister ones I discussed in my fashion favs, as they are a jegging material. It was nice to find these as well because the Hollister ones are great but they do not give that jean look, whereas now I have the best of both worlds with these: comfort and the jean style. I may sound like I am making a big deal out of this, but for me living with chronic pain, you really have to adapt the things you do and clothing is a huge thing for me and finding these jeans just helped so much with that.
I wear them with the trousers rolled down as I just prefer that style. I am also on the shorter side so they end up sitting just right with whatever shoes I wear. I have not actually worn them with boots yet obviously as I purchased them in the Summer, but I will know soon so I will try and remember to let you know..
I will talk about each item individually and then I will include a collage of each outfit styled and put together at the end:) Each item is linked in their picture so hovering over and clicking should do the job :)
Tops -
Newlook. I love this floral top. I think it goes really nice with the jeans, with the cut off being just above the belly button, it lines up and is the perfect match. The colours are cute and it suits this weird weather we have been having, by being strapless it provides the perfect balance; if it becomes a little chilly, then an addition of a small jacket should keep you nice and toasty.
I would wear this most likely to a day out shopping or a lunch date, it just has that vibe. I only recently purchased one just like this in the Newlook sale. I never really liked these kinds of tops because I am lacking in the cleavage area, I just avoided them as I just thought they would look odd. However, when browsing the sale, I saw a red and white one with a matching skirt and I was really fond of it. I am trying to branch out more so I got an XS and I love it! I wore it today and it fits perfectly. I just have to ensure I get a smaller size to make sure the top fits nicely.
ASOS and Joanie Clothing. I am such a huge fan of oversized tees tucked into jeans with a big chunky belt. It is an easy look to throw together but it looks classy. These two in particular I found I really liked. I am not usually someone who goes for slogans on my t-shirts but these two just jumped out at me, especially the pink one as its so cute and the colour just makes me think of positive vibes lol. Depending on how you want the fit of them to be, size up or down accordingly. For me as I am on the petite side, getting too big of a size can make the t shirt drown me, a mistake I have made before! So I would normally size down to a 6, just to be on the safe side. The pink one is also sustainable which is a plus, as where I can, I am trying to be more eco friendly.
Not relating 100% to this look I am going for, but when I was browsing for an oversized tee, they had such a variety of New Loves Ones in the sale on ASOS. If you are in the market for any this winter, that would be the place to look!
Jackets -
H and M. I have been seeing a lot of people styling white linen shirts with jeans and I have to say I love that look, and it was one I noted down for my future styling time. It just adds a small something to the outfit and I think alongside the yellow floral top, it compliments it well. You do not want a jacket that has a lot going on, because then it would take away from all of the yellow floral pieces, and in this case I do want them to be the main focus of the look. Adding the shirt unbuttoned, gives a relaxed chill vibe. The shirt is also versatile so in my case, I can justify purchasing one as it can be worn in multiple ways, maximising its use. It is a super simple style but sometimes that is all you need to achieve the right look.
Misguided. Cardigans are my fav go to jacket for Autumn but for some unknown reason, I have none! I am rather picky when it comes to choosing and I have not managed to add one to my wardrobe just yet! This one I discovered, I just love, it has detailing that is different to other ones and it gives me a funky vibe which I am always a fan of. It would go wonderfully with the tees and being chocolate brown it is preparing me for Autumn, my fav season!! This colour is such a staple for Autumn fashion too.
I believe a good way to style it differently compared to the usual, is to tuck it up so it gives it a more baggy effect. This way you are matching with the tees, by having an overall baggy theme to the whole outfit. I feel it is very chic, mixing it up compared to something like a hoodie that you may of normally chosen for this outfit.
Bags -
Etsy. I am absolutely in love with the crochet trend right now. I know it is definitely a either love it or hate it style, but for me it gets a thumbs up; especially the idea of having a cute crochet bag to add to my look. I feel it just spices it up a little, and adds a pop of colour that matches the floral top. Even now we are going into Autumn, I still think you can pull off a crochet bag as they are just so damn adorable. You can get so many different styles and this one being from Etsy is so much nicer, as it has that homemade touch.
ASOS. This colour is so pretty and is the perfect addition to the outfit with the baggy tees. It has the same vibe and all of the colours really go well together and compliment each other. The colour is more muted but I feel that is just right for the look as I do not want the overall look being too full of colour. It is just the right size to fit your bits and bobs in, and then away you go! Off to meet your pals or go shopping. :) I also prefer shoulder bags as they are easy to carry around and as long as you don't fill them too much, they are nice and light.
Shoes -
Schuh. These are such a cool addition to the outfit! The colour matches once again and I just love how the yellow colour flows and is present throughout the look and in each individual piece.
I am not a fan of the low Converse, as due to having narrow feet, they never fit right and always slip. However, the boots are better because they grip on the ankle and provide that extra support. These are so fun and I love the little sunflowers; Converse do such different and cool designs. I do love a pop of colour in my shoes, it has to be the right outfit tho and this is exactly that.
ASOS. I was looking for a certain boot to match the more relaxed look of the two. I wanted something other than a plain boot, to avoid them looking too boring. When I found these, I knew they were the ones! The mixture of the leather along with the quilting spices them up and adds that last touch to the final outfit before the jewellery. They sit just below the jean cuff and having a little heel means you can get away with wearing them to a more fancy thing like an evening meal. They could be your perfect black boot as everyone needs a staple pair of boots. There is not any black in this outfit specifically, but I chose these for a reason, as having the contrasting colour, will really make them stand out, compared to pairing a pair of shoes that were the same colour as something in the outfit. That is how I work when pairing a look, I try and pay attention to the little details.
Jewellery
I am getting into different jewellery more and more, and to tell you it took me a while to find anything I fancied, is an understatement! I had a certain image in mind for both looks and I really wanted one to have gold and one silver; something I did managed to achieve. Jewellery definitely breaks up an outfit, and if I am going anywhere, I will usually wear both a necklace or earrings.
Lisa Angel. I love the silver for the more casual outfit, the colour matching the silver on the jeans and by having that and not gold, it does not overcrowd the outfit. I love the shape of the earrings because they are not just your standard ones, the octagon shape is different/unique and that is what I was looking for. The chunkiness of the necklace is the perfect style to complete the outfit, chain jewellery being quite popular currently. The detailing of the silver zips on the boots, will also tie in perfectly with the jewellery. It's the little things! Lisa Angel do such nice things, especially their jewellery. It is always made so well and they have the best/cutest designs. I got the idea to look online for this look as I nipped into their local store near me and saw what gems they had:)
Etsy. Another yellow addition to complete the yellow vibes of the cute outfit. Whilst I have been on my travels, I have seen a lot of jewellery with pressed flowers in and I thought they would go amazingly with the rest of the look. They are dainty and pull the whole look together. Another good place for jewellery is Etsy, you can search for ages and find so many good items. Shopping there gives you the option of not just buying your basic stuff, but finding items that you would never find anywhere else; one time pieces:)

There we are, the completed two looks for the Zara jeans. They are both so different and I cannot pick my favourite! I would go for either, depending on the day and where I was going. I favour the second more for a casual day out but the first for a lunch or even for the evening; I can imagine sitting outside and enjoying a nice light meal.
As I mentioned in the beginning of the post, I am moving!!!! Because of this, my next post may be a little delayed. I will let you know on my Instagram, so give me a follow if you want to keep updated: takeyour.pic. See you on the other side!
I hope you all enjoyed:) Stay safe and well, Lucy oxoxo
